How to Match an FPV Motor and Battery

Start with the motor variant’s confirmed cell-count range, then match an exact battery S value with known capacity.

Motor / KV → Battery S → ESC current / S → Prop diameter / pitch / blades → Battery

Can any 6S battery power a 6S motor?

Not automatically. The motor variant must list 6S, while a catalog battery needs a confirmed 6S value and positive capacity before StartX can display it as a match.

Does capacity determine motor compatibility?

Capacity influences available energy and often weight and current capability, but StartX does not infer those missing limits. It uses capacity only as a completeness requirement for catalog matches.
